KMWorld Honors Eccentex for “Trend-Setting Product 2014”

AppBase lauded by judges as thoughtful, well-reasoned innovation

LOS ANGELES, CA – August 26, 2014Eccentex Corporation, one of the leading providers of platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications for dynamic case management (DCM), announced today that KMWorld Magazine chose its product AppBase as a 2014 trend-setting product.

KMWorld’s Trend-Setting Products award is an annual listing of breakthrough enterprise technology solutions. KMWorld judges evaluated more than 650 products this year. The judging panel consists of editorial colleagues, analysts, system integrators, line-of-business managers and technology end users.

“AppBase was selected by the panel because it demonstrates thoughtful, well-reasoned innovation and execution for the most important constituency of them all: the customer,” said Hugh McKeller, editor-in-chief of KMWorld Magazine.

Eccentex’s AppBase is a dynamic case management PaaS solution that is designed to automate case outcomes for incidents, investigations and service requests. It is also designed to run in the cloud via a SaaS delivery model. AppBase allows business analysts to create and modify applications dynamically in a browser, which enables them to deliver case management apps more quickly. In addition, AppBase streamlines case management workflows for knowledge workers and allows supervisors to assign work, monitor tasks and measure productivity.

“Eccentex is focused on providing dynamic case management solutions to help knowledge workers coordinate tasks, processes and services – in a way that’s flexible and adaptive – to achieve a positive outcome,” said Glen Schrank, CEO of Eccentex. “We are honored by KMWorld’s recognition of Eccentex and AppBase, and we look forward to continuing to move the DCM market forward to help today’s knowledge worker meet new business challenges.”
