Eccentex AppBase Chosen by Selection Committee to replace and modernize NYSID’s Aging Consumer Imaging and Information Management System (CIIMS)
Eccentex Corporation, the leader in enterprise cloud computing, announced today that it has been selected, in partnership with Micro Data Systems of Holmdel, New Jersey, by the New York State Insurance Department (NYSID) to replace its aging Consumer Imaging and Information Management System (CIIMS) in support of the New York State Consumer Information Systems (NYCIS) initiative. In a very competitive bid environment Eccentex was able to demonstrate that using Eccentex’s AppBase platform to build a proposed solution offered NYSID the best overall value in terms of delivering required functionality, cost and timelines.
“We fully support NYSID’s commitment to deliver superior services to the State of New York,” commented Alex Stein, CEO of Eccentex Corporation. “The AppBase platform will provide a stable, enterprise grade technology delivery system that will enable NYSID to modernize its system and extend the former CIIMS system to other aspects of NYSID. This will ensure that all transactions of constituents, providers and insurance companies are captured, processed and submitted to the right person at the right time and responses are received in a timely manner.”
By building the NYCIS application on the trusted AppBase platform, NYSID will be able to leverage the tremendous business process automation experience base that Eccentex brings to the table. The AppBase platform provides a central workflow management hub for managing electronic and paper based processes. Additionally, the AppBase platform is designed to be first and foremost a business analysis tool which will enable NYSID to maintain a degree of self-sufficiency that very few players in the cloud computing space can offer.
